Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery, previously known as the Oyo State School of Nursing, has a rich history dating back to 1949 when it was established at the Old Army Barracks, Eleyele, Ibadan. The institution expanded with the creation of the Oyo State School of Midwifery in 1954, located at Yemetu. In 2005, both schools were merged, forming the Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery, under the approval of the Oyo State House of Assembly.

Today, the college is recognized as one of Nigeria’s premier nursing and midwifery institutions, dedicated to training healthcare professionals capable of providing top-quality services in primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare settings.
