A 19-year-old Nigerian woman has made history at Babcock University by graduating with First Class Honors and a perfect 5.0 GPA in Computer Science. This remarkable achievement also earned her multiple prestigious awards, cementing her status as one of the top students in the School of Computing and Engineering Sciences.

Celebrating her success on social media, she expressed gratitude for the support she received throughout her academic journey. On X (formerly Twitter), she wrote, “Highest CGPA, Department of Computer Science. Overall Best Graduating Student, School of Computing and Engineering. Thank you, Jesus! We are locked in,” along with photos showcasing her academic awards.

She further detailed her accomplishments on LinkedIn, sharing that on July 28th, at just 19 years old, she graduated with First Class Honors, earning the highest CGPA in her department. She was also recognized as the Overall Best Graduating Student in the School of Computing and Engineering Sciences, which includes fields like Software Engineering and Information Technology.

Her final-year project, titled ‘Brain Tumor Identification and Classification Using YOLOv5 in Magnetic Resonance Imaging,’ earned her a top grade of 90. This performance helped secure a perfect 5.0 GPA for her final year.

In recognition of her achievements, she received numerous awards, including:

  • Dean’s Prize for the highest CGPA in the School of Computing.
