Known affectionately as "Rayados" (translated as “The Striped-Ones”), Club de Futbol Monterrey is one of Mexico’s most iconic and successful football teams. Founded in 1945, the club has become a powerhouse in Liga MX, celebrated for its rich history, fierce competition, and loyal fan base.

A Legacy in Blue and White
The nickname Rayados comes from the club’s distinctive blue-and-white striped uniforms, a hallmark embraced by fans from the team’s inception. Over the decades, this identity has become synonymous with the club's spirit and determination.

Owned by FEMSA (Fomento Económico Mexicano, S.A.B. de C.V.), a major Mexican corporation, and led by Victor Manuel Vucetich, the team plays its home matches at the impressive Estadio BBVA, a testament to its prominence in Mexican football.

Visual Identity: A Badge of Pride
The Rayados’ emblem has undergone numerous transformations over the years while maintaining its commitment to the signature blue-and-white palette.

1950–1960: The debut logo featured a blue mountain with a football above it, encapsulating the club’s connection to Monterrey.
1960–1970: A reimagined crest introduced vertical stripes and a bold "M," beginning the transition to modern branding.
1970–1991: Brighter blues and refined striping brought vibrancy, with an enlarged football symbolizing strength.
1991–2000: Minimalism took center stage with a bold blue "M" above the name “Monterrey.” This clean, professional design laid the groundwork for future iterations.
2000–Today: The iconic crest design with three vertical blue stripes and a central "M" debuted. Over the years, the badge evolved to celebrate the club's championships, represented by stars added above and below the crest.
A Golden Era of Championships
Rayados’ logo reflects their winning legacy:

2003: A second star marked another title victory.
2009: A third star was added, accompanied by a deeper blue shade.
2010: The fourth star came with an even bolder "M" design.
2011: A golden fifth star beneath the crest commemorated another championship, cementing the club’s place among Mexico’s elite.
The Power of Blue and White
The club’s enduring blue-and-white palette symbolizes reliability, confidence, and masculinity. These colors, paired with a hint of gold since 2011, reflect the team's determination and prestige on and off the field.
