Nursing science is the healthcare profession that deals with the promotion, maintenance and restoration of patients’ health and well being. It is the training to become a Nurse. 

Candidates wishing to become a Registered Nurse (RN)  but undergo training in the higher institution (usually for a period of five years) and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, NMCN)

4. Nurse Administrator: Responsible for the strategic planning and management of nursing services at the organizational level.
5. Chief Nursing Officer (CNO): Serving as the top nursing executive in larger healthcare institutions.
6. Nurse Educator: Teaching and mentoring nursing students in nursing schools and colleges.
7. Nurse Tutor: Providing clinical instruction and supervision for nursing students in healthcare settings.
8. Nursing Informaticist: Applying information technology to support nursing practice, data management, and healthcare delivery.
9. Nurse Researcher: Conducting research studies to advance nursing knowledge and improve nursing practice in the Nigerian context.
