2. Medical Corps:

Enhancing Technical and Vocational Training

The reform plan also includes proposals to strengthen technical and vocational training for corps members. According to Hadiza Usman, Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination, the government seeks to integrate skills training that can help graduates:

  • Acquire practical skills in trades and crafts
  • Launch small businesses or entrepreneurial ventures
  • Develop sustainable career paths beyond the NYSC program
