UNIOSUN Academic Calendar – Important Dates

November 2024

  • Monday, 11th: Resumption for the 2024/2025 session, marking the beginning of the Harmattan Semester. Orientation for fresh students also commences.

December 2024

  • Monday, 16th – Wednesday, 18th: Matriculation for new students.
  • Thursday, 19th: Christmas and New Year holiday break begins.
  • Monday, 23rd December – Sunday, 5th January 2025: Christmas/New Year break continues.

January 2025

  • Monday, 13th: Resumption from holiday break.

February 2025

  • Friday, 21st: End of Harmattan Semester lectures.
  • Monday, 24th – Friday, 28th: Lecture-free week for exam preparations.

March 2025

  • Monday, 3rd – Friday, 21st: Harmattan Semester Examinations for all levels.
  • Monday, 17th – Friday, 21st: GNS Examinations.
  • Monday, 31st March – Friday, 11th April: Semester Break.

April 2025

  • Monday, 24th – Friday, 11th: Marking and grading period.
  • Monday, 21st: Resumption for the Rain Semester and commencement of lectures.

July 2025

  • Friday, 18th: End of Rain Semester lectures.
  • Monday, 21st – Friday, 25th: Lecture-free week.
  • Monday, 28th July – Friday, 8th August: Rain Semester Examinations.

August 2025

  • Monday, 11th – Friday, 15th: GNS Examinations.
  • Monday, 18th – Friday, 15th: Final marking and grading of scripts.
  • Monday, 25th: End of the Academic Year and beginning of Annual Leave for academic staff.

September 2025

  • Thursday, 25th – Saturday, 27th: 15th Convocation Ceremonies.

November 2025

  • Friday, 7th: End of Annual Leave for academic staff.
  • Monday, 11th: Resumption for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.
