Benue State University (BSU) has announced the appointment of Mr. Barnabas Terfa Hemba as its new Registrar. Officially approved by the Governing Council on October 22, 2024, Mr. Hemba will assume his new role starting November 1, 2024. Mr. Hemba’s Background and Experience
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Hemba served as Deputy Registrar in the Senior Staff Establishment Division at BSU. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, which provides a solid foundation for his work in university administration.
Leadership and Professional Involvement
Mr. Hemba is highly regarded within the BSU community due to his active involvement in several professional organizations:
- Chairman of the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA), BSU Branch
- Member of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), where he previously held the position of Branch Chairman
His leadership in these associations reflects his commitment to improving the university’s administrative functions and advocating for staff welfare.
