Nigeria Maritime University Admission Requirements
Admission into NMU can be through UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination) or Direct Entry. Each pathway has specific requirements.
UTME Admission Requirements
- Candidates must choose Nigeria Maritime University (NMU) as their first choice institution in JAMB.
- Applicants must sit for the JAMB UTME and meet the minimum cut-off mark set by the university for their chosen course.
- At least five (5) credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).
- The O’Level subjects must align with the course applied for.
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old at the time of application.
- Applicants must undergo a medical examination and meet health requirements before final admission.
Direct Entry Admission Requirements
- Applicants must possess a National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or A-Level qualification in a relevant field.
- A minimum of five (5) credit passes in O’Level, including English Language and Mathematics, is required.
- Candidates with a first degree or higher professional certifications may also be considered depending on the programme.
