The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has officially announced the commencement of its Post-UTME screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session. Online registration begins Monday, July 28, 2025, and ends Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
All eligible candidates who selected UNILAG as their first choice institution and scored 200 and above in the 2025 UTME are invited to apply.
📝 Who Is Eligible for UNILAG Post-UTME 2025?
To be qualified for the UNILAG Post-UTME Screening Exercise, candidates must meet the following requirements:
✅ First Choice: Must have selected the University of Lagos as their first choice during UTME registration.
✅ Minimum Score: Must score 200 or above in the 2025 UTME.
✅ O’Level Requirements: Must possess at least five (5) credit passes at one sitting in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
✅ Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2025.
✅ O’Level Upload Deadline: All O’Level results must be uploaded to the JAMB CAPS portal on or before September 12, 2025.
✅ Screening Participation: Candidates who fail to participate in the Post-UTME online aptitude test will not be considered for admission.
✅ Valid Contact Details: Candidates must use personal and active email addresses during registration as this will be the main communication channel.
✅ Re-Admission Policy: Former students whose admissions were withdrawn due to poor performance or extended absence may reapply, but only for a new course.
❌ Expelled Students: Candidates expelled in the past from UNILAG are not eligible for re-admission under any circumstance.
🧾 How to Apply for UNILAG Post-UTME 2025/2026
Follow the step-by-step process below to register successfully for the screening exercise:
✅ Step 1: Visit the UNILAG Post-UTME Portal
Go to the University of Lagos Post-UTME application portal:

(Then navigate to the Post-UTME 2025/2026 application link)
NOTE: The application link will also be activated on https://admissions.unilag.edu.ng once registration starts on July 28, 2025.
✅ Step 2: Log In With Your JAMB Registration Number
- Click on “Start Fresh Application”
- Input your JAMB Registration Number as your username
- Use your surname in lowercase as your default password
- Click “Login” to access your dashboard
✅ Step 3: Update Your Bio-data
After logging in:
- Fill in your personal details (full name, date of birth, gender, state of origin, etc.)
- Upload a recent passport photograph (JPEG format, not more than 200KB)
- Ensure your O’Level result is correctly filled (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent)
✅ Step 4: Generate Payment Invoice
- Click on the “Generate Payment” button
- An invoice will be generated with a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR)
- Note the RRR—it will be used for fee payment
✅ Step 5: Make Payment
Pay the N2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira only) screening fee via any of the following:
- Online: Use your debit card (ATM card) on the Remita platform
- Bank Branch: Visit any commercial bank with the RRR to make payment
Don’t pay to any individual or agent—UNILAG accepts payment ONLY through Remita.
✅ Step 6: Complete Your Application
- After successful payment, return to the portal to confirm your payment
- Once confirmed, proceed to complete the application form
- Review your entries carefully
- Submit your application
- Print your Post-UTME registration slip (you’ll need it for the online aptitude test)

- Use a valid and personal email address during registration
- Double-check your O’Level subjects and grades—no correction will be allowed after submission
- All applications must be submitted on or before August 20, 2025
📅 UNILAG Post-UTME Mock and Exam Dates
- Mock Exam Dates: Monday, August 25 – Wednesday, August 27, 2025
- Post-UTME Online Test: Monday, September 1 – Friday, September 5, 2025
All exams will be conducted online. Candidates are strongly advised to prepare ahead and ensure internet access for both the mock and main test.
⚠️ UNILAG Drug Policy Reminder
The University of Lagos has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy on drug abuse. Any student who tests positive for drug use—whether before or after registration—will have their admission immediately withdrawn.
