The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released the schedule for the passing-out ceremony of 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream I Corps members. The ceremony will be conducted in a low-key manner, with activities planned as follows:
1. Tuesday, 24th – Friday, 27th September, 2024
- Release of Corps Members by Employers: Employers are expected to release Corps members who are passing out, allowing them to prepare for the event.
- Job Awareness and Creation Sensitisation: Corps members will receive information on job opportunities and entrepreneurship after service. This will be organised at the Local Government level with support from NYSC and NDE (National Directorate of Employment) officers.
2. Monday, 30th September – Wednesday, 3rd October, 2024
- Registration and Clearing of Corps Members: Corps members are required to complete their registration and clearance with Local Government Inspectors.
- Signing of Final Clearance: Zonal Inspectors will begin signing the final clearance for eligible Corps members.
- Questionnaire Administration (Form 4B): 30% of the passing-out Corps members will be given a questionnaire to complete as part of the final process.
3. Thursday, 4th – Monday, 7th October, 2024
- Continued Signing of Final Clearance: Zonal Inspectors will proceed with signing the final clearance for Corps members.
- Questionnaire Administration: The process of administering questionnaires to selected Corps members will continue.
4. Tuesday, 8th – Wednesday, 9th October, 2024
- Final Clearance Signing: Zonal Inspectors will complete the signing of final clearance forms.
5. Thursday, 10th October, 2024
- Distribution of Certificates of National Service: Corps members who have successfully completed their service year will receive their Certificates of National Service. The distribution will take place at the Local Government level.
The NYSC Passing-Out Programme for 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream I marks the end of a fulfilling service year. It’s a time to celebrate the completion of the NYSC journey and look forward to new opportunities.
