Located in Effurun, Delta State, South South Nigeria, lies the Petroleum-Intensive Federal University of Petroleum Resources. Since Delta is an oil-producing state, it makes sense for the state to have a university with a focus on petroleum. The university was founded to generate qualified petroleum workers. since its founding in 2007.

Future courses don’t offer courses in education, the arts, or law; instead, they only offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs in science and technology.

This university has competitive admissions. Additionally, the university makes available to its students housing as well as other amenities like power and college buildings.
