COOU Post UTME 2024/2025 Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) Post UTME screening, candidates must meet the following requirements:

First-choice institution: Candidates must have selected COOU as their first-choice university in the 2024 UTME.
UTME Score Requirement: A minimum UTME score of 150 is required for most courses, while competitive programs such as Law, Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, and Pharmaceutical Sciences require a minimum score of 200.
O’Level Requirements: Candidates must have at least five (5) credit passes, including Mathematics and English Language, in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, obtained in not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry (DE) Requirements: Candidates applying via Direct Entry (DE) must meet one of the following criteria:
- A minimum of two A-level passes in relevant subjects (GCE, IJMB, or Cambridge).
- ND or HND holders with at least an Upper Credit (some courses may accept Lower Credit).
- NCE holders with at least a Merit Pass in related disciplines.
- JUPEB candidates with relevant subject passes can gain 200-level admission.

How to Apply for COOU Post UTME 2024/2025

Eligible candidates must follow these steps to successfully apply for the COOU Post UTME screening exercise:

Visit the COOU admission portal: Go to http://portal.coou.edu.ng.
Generate Payment Invoice: Scroll down to the “Undergraduates” section and click on “Generate Post UTME Invoice.”
Enter JAMB Registration Number: Input your JAMB Registration Number in the required field and click Submit to generate a payment invoice.
Make Payment: Take the generated invoice to any bank or pay online via ATM card. The non-refundable application fee is ₦2,000.
Complete the Application Form: After successful payment, return to http://portal.coou.edu.ng, go back to the “Undergraduates” section, and click “Fill Post UTME Application Form.”
Fill in Your Details: Re-enter your JAMB Registration Number and click Login. Complete the application form with accurate personal and academic details.
Submit and Print Confirmation Slip: After filling in the required details, click Submit, then print your application slip as proof of registration.
