Delta State University (DELSU) has released the schedule for the orientation exercise for newly admitted students for the 2024/2025 academic session. This exercise aims to familiarize students with university life, policies, and academic expectations.

Day One: Opening Formalities and Lectures

• Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Venue: Convocation Arena

Day Two: Faculty-Based Activities

• Date: Thursday, January 23, 2025

Morning Session

• Faculties: Faculty of Arts, Basic Medical Sciences, Dentistry
• Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
• Venue: Convocation Hall

Afternoon Session

• Faculties: Faculty of the Social Sciences, Agriculture, Communications and Media Studies, Education
• Time: 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM
• Venue: Faculty of Social Science Large Hall

Late Afternoon Session

• Faculties: Faculty of Management Sciences, Science, Pharmacy
• Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• Venue: Faculty of Management Science New Hall

Day Three: Civility and Social Etiquette

• Date: Friday, January 24, 2025
• Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
• Venue: 1000-Seating Capacity Hall

Postponement of Examination Date

The first semester examination, initially scheduled to begin on Monday, February 3, 2025, has been postponed to Monday, February 17, 2025. DELSU regrets any inconvenience caused by this change.
