Kaduna State University (KASU) has released its academic calendar for the 2024/2025 session, detailing important dates for both the first and second semesters, including lectures, examinations, breaks, and public holidays.

First Semester

• 13th January – 2nd February 2025: Screening and registration for fresh students.

• 20th – 26th January 2025: Registration for returning students.

• 27th January – 30th March 2025: Lectures and continuous assessments for all students.

• 31st March – 6th April 2025: Mid-semester break and course add/drop period.

• 7th April – 11th May 2025: Lectures continue with continuous assessments.

• 12th May – 1st June 2025: Examinations and marking period.

• 2nd – 15th June 2025: Result processing period.

• 16th June 2025: Senate consideration and release of results.

• 2nd June – 22nd June 2025: First semester break.

Second Semester

• 23rd June – 10th August 2025: Lectures and continuous assessments for all students.

• 11th – 17th August 2025: Mid-semester break and course add/drop period.

• 18th August – 5th October 2025: Lectures continue with continuous assessments.

• 6th – 12th October 2025: Students’ Union elections and inaugurations.

• 13th October – 2nd November 2025: Examinations and marking period.

• 3rd – 16th November 2025: Result processing period.

• 17th November 2025: Senate consideration and release of results.

• 17th November – 7th December 2025: Intra and inter-university transfers begin.

• 3rd November – 4th January 2026: End-of-session break.

• 5th January 2026: New session begins.

• New Year: Wednesday, 1st January 2025

• Eid-El-Fitr: Monday, 31st March – Tuesday, 1st April 2025

• Easter: Sunday, 20th – Monday, 21st April 2025

• Workers’ Day: Wednesday, 1st May 2025

• Eid-El-Kabir: Monday, 9th – Tuesday, 10th June 2025

• Mauled: Monday, 16th September 2025

• Independence Day: Tuesday, 1st October 2025

• Christmas: Tuesday, 25th December 2025

• Boxing Day: Wednesday, 26th December 2025

• New Year: Wednesday, 1st January 2026
